Changes at the Sandia - Albuquerque, NM

Just wanted to let the list know about changes happening at the Sandia poker room.

1 - As of Monday, June 6th the room is no smoking allowed.
2 - Signs are up saying "Bad Beat Jackpot Coming Soon".

AFAIC #1 is good and #2 is bad.

FYI, they had a survey for players to sign, and the outcome was overwhelmingly in favor of "no smoking" - I'm looking forward to my next visit, but anticipating a big increase in absences from the taable - Sandia is usually better at kepping full tables than most other places I've played....

BTW, Sandia, as a tribal-operated casino, does not allow drinking in the gambling areas, either, so, the room will be both "no smoking", and "no drinking" - not to say there won't be a lot of inebrieted players reeking of cigs.... [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

The jackpot will just mean another buck out of each pot [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img], and lots of low limit newbies chasing the "bad beats" (playing small pairs and suited connectors more than ever before)[img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img] ....
