Default Checking the turn II

Played about 4 orbits with Villian - He's of the 35% VP$IP variety with moderate, reasonable aggression.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
2 folds, MP1 raises, 3 folds, Hero 3-bets, 2 folds, MP1 calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls.

Turn: (4.75 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero checks (intending to call any river bet)

River: (4.75 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP1 bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 6.75 BB

What about betting the turn and taking the free showdown unless you pair an A or a K?

Although getting c/r'ed would suck

A reasonable player will bet the river most of the time if you check the turn.

If you bet the turn, you can still lead the river if you hit one of your cards and get another bet, but I doubt he'd call a river raise if an A or a K hits and he leads the turn.

I don't like your call on the river. The only thing you can beat is AQ/KQ and what A4 A5.

I think you check the turn and throw it away to a bet on the river.

I can see calling SOME river cards.

That is not one of them.

I don't like the turn check. You're likely ahead and any overs including a T or J are calling. I'd rather bet the turn, fold to a check/raise than check and call this river.

Of whichever list is smaller what cards would/wouldn't you be calling the river?
