My gut tells me this play is wrong but how'd I do

I think you can fold to the river raise, but otherwise I think it's ok. (Reads would be nice here.)

I get so lost on hands like this. I call and lose and am usually surprised by what they are holding.

What did you put the villain on that has Hero beat? Or is the river raise such a strong move that we need to get away from the hand?

Ummmm, villain has an A right? The river is not a scare card, so I really don't think it's a bluff raise. You can fold the river.
