Vegas - Looking for good nightclubs to go to with my girlfriend

I'm looking for suggestions for good nightclubs that me and my girlfriend could both enjoy while in vegas over the next week. A short description of the place would be beneficial and the location would be nice to know as well. I would probably be most interested in places that are easy to get to and easy to get back to my hotel from. I am staying at the gold coast if that helps.

I leave wednesday morning so any help would be greatly appreciated.

club voodoo (i think it is?) in the rio, 52nd floor, very nice bar / club with an outside party on the balcony and an incredible view.

I'm not really big into clubbing but thought it would be something fun for us to do in Vegas. I'll be sure to check out your link - thanks.

I agree with the above poster on the Voodoo lounge. It's a 2 floor (no dance club) ultra lounge. The view is absolutely AMAZING from outside. I'm sure there is dancing outside though as there is usually a bar and music out there as well. I've only been up there once, but prefer staying inside as I have this thing about being up 40 floors in the air with nothing around me. (Yes, it's on 51st floor, but Rio doesn't use 40's much like the rest of vegas). If anyone wants to know the reason for that, just ask. It's pretty simple actually.

The reasoning....

Ever notice that there is no number 4 or 14 on a Pai Gow Poker, Tiles, or Baccarat game?
Same reason as there are no number 14 or 40 something floors in most casinos.

The number 4 looks almost exactly like the chinese symbol for death and being that Asians are the typically the most supersticious of all gamblers, casinos don't want to take any chance of losing their business.

I for one, after being in this business for 8+ years, am about the least supersticious person I know. I'm a stats and odds type of guy. I find it funny how casinos prey on psychology like masters!

Somethign important with the club is that it needs to be one of those "only in vegas" types of experiences... We don't want some type of club or bar that we could find something similar to up here in Calgary. Flashy with some kind of cool environment that will make it a neat experience is more of what we are after.

VooDoo Lounge.

I really like the place. A bit of an older crowd compared to many clubs. Band inside with some cozy seating, dance music outside with the killer view. Order a Witch Doctor.
