Default Folding against (maybe) made hands

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $0.5.
UTG calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, CO (poster) checks, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (6 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG calls, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, CO folds, SB folds.

Turn: (4.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls, MP1 raises, Hero 3-bets, UTG folds, MP1 calls.

River: (11.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 13.50 BB

Results in white below:
MP1 has 6c 8c (flush, king high).
Hero has Jh Ts (three of a kind, jacks).
Outcome: MP1 wins 13.50 BB.

No really god read on the opponents but the whole table is pretty passive. (I got kings twice that session and the entire table folded pre-flop.)

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 1 fold, Hero raises, 2 folds, CO calls, 2 folds, BB calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (8.50 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, CO calls, BB calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (6.25 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, CO calls, BB folds, UTG folds.

River: (8.25 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 12.25 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has Ah Ad (one pair, aces).
CO has Ac Kd (straight, ace high).
Outcome: CO wins 12.25 BB.

No good reads here either except for the table being pretty passive, even checking and calling top pair good kicker from the flop -> river (that cost me some bets ).

The thing I'm wondering is when do you throw stuff like this away? Hands where it really seems like your opponent has been helped by the scare card but your hand still looks alright.

Don't post results.

Hand 1:
Check the flop, and your turn/river action is inconsistent. Why 3-bet the turn and check call the river?

Hand 2:
I think you can save a BB on the river. With QJT[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and an 8 on the board, your AA looks no good.

I thought my jacks were the best and raised to get in an extra bet as well as feel how strong he was. I also thought I might get him to lay down a turned flush draw.

When he called I felt he had the flush, but I didn't wanna fold trips to such a large pot.

Yeah, sure looks like it. But is it scary enough to lay them down? I think check-calling the river would be better than folding, no?

Hand 1: I call down once I'm raised, he's making it pretty obvious he's got the flush at that point (Assuming your typical party fish).

Hand 2: I don't bet that river...puts a 3 flush and a 4 straight on the board -- check/call.

Yeah you definitely want to check/call here rather than bet/call.
