call all in or lay down big slick?
$10 NLH SNG on Paradise. Level 2, blinds are 10-20. 6 people left. I am third in chips with about 1500. I raise from middle position to 50 with AK suited. Only the button, who is chip leader with about 3000, calls me. He isn't a very loose player. Flop is K 10 7 rainbow. I bet 60, he calls. Turn is a 6. I bet 100, he raises me all in. Call or fold? Should I have bet more pre and post flop? I'll post results soon.

Raise more preflop. It sucks that he had 98.

Re: call all in or lay down big slick?
Hand Results: I called the bet and went all in. He had pocket sixes and turned a set. The river was no help as i was drawing dead and got eliminated. You are right, I should have raised more originally.

Re: call all in or lay down big slick?
Raise a bit more preflop.
Without any reads on him you have to lay it down, afraid of the set or straight. You would need a good read to begin considering calling, even though there will be a lot of morons in a 10$ game. |
