Default Is he a lost cause???

I went on a lunch date today with a very cute guy.

Well anyway we get dress up and go to lunch at the casino, at Phllip M's and we both ordered a Filet Mignon and Lobster, with appitizer, salad, desert, and a bottle of wine, lunch came to $317.

I have been around the world to different places so I guess my version of etiquette is different than someone raised in Mississippi. He does not have alot to talk about and when he does it is not always appropriate conversation for a resturant of the caliber.

But the unforgivable offense of the day IMHO is when he put A1 Steak Sauce on a Filet Mignon. I did not say anything but I was thinking all kinds of foul things about how can anyone ruin a piece of meat like that?

So I ask you....

Your standards are very, very high if putting A1 on a nice filet is a deal breaker.

That is a crime punishable by a slap upside the head, but denying him a second date because of it seems harsh.

I'm assuming you rightfully beat him to death with the A1 bottle so after that, yes, he's a lost cause.

Steve, I have never been out on a date with a person who ordered a steak (I date women), but I must say that if I were to find myself in that same situation, I think I would turn the table over and storm out.

Yes, lost cause.

I guess you are right he is the sweetest guy, I guess I will have to start the gay version of Miss Congeniality to start the grooming and etiquette process.

Baby Steps! Baby Steps!

It's not the crime itself, I don't think. It's probably more to do with what his lack of culinary etiquite implies.

Steve, most people in this forum are straight. Straight people don't think like gay people do. You might as well ask a straight homophobe whats the best way to suck a dick as we have zero experience in picking up guys. Anyone who never dated a guy and thinks he can give guy advice is delusional with the possible exception of Blarg. There are plenty of gay forums out there where you can get good advice on this topic.
