Default Heads up struggles

I play in mostly small tournements with my friends and only a few tables, i have been noticing a bad trend....i seem to make it down to at least the final table and when i make it to heads up, actually mostly big stacked, i seem to have trouble finishing people off and usually finish second. Whether its one bad call or one bad read in which i bluffed on, it seems when it gets down to two i always struggle. I have tried opening up my game a bit more but havent noticed much change. Is there any help you guys can give me besides practice?

Default Re: Heads up struggles

Make sure you don't lose to the strategy of raising with any two cards.

Make sure you exploit your opponent's weakness, if he would lose to that strategy.

Read the relevant section of HPFAP and start reading the Heads-Up & Short-Handed forum to see the hand evaluation advice and aggression.
