Thankfully there are a few people in this world with some sense. [/ QUOTE ] These mayors definitely arent among those. Even our most hard core global warming fans on this board hate the Kyoto Treaty. |

Yeah well Wacki and Zeno both think it is a sham [/ QUOTE ] Oh. I didn't realise that. Nope, I still think that something (regardless of its flaws) is better than nothing (or to be more precise the continuing and increasing poisening of the planet). |

Nope, I still think that something (regardless of its flaws) is better than nothing (or to be more precise the continuing and increasing poisening of the planet). [/ QUOTE ] That is fuzzy (and dangerous) thinking; when evaluating anything costs/benefits must be weighed. Serious flaws can make a given plan worse than no plan at all in some cases. Do you know enough about Kyoto to be sure that is not the case? |

That is fuzzy (and dangerous) thinking [/ QUOTE ] Must be the pollutants dumbing me down [ QUOTE ] when evaluating anything costs/benefits must be weighed [/ QUOTE ] I know. But I take your point. [ QUOTE ] Serious flaws can make a given plan worse than no plan at all in some cases. [/ QUOTE ] Kyoto does not have serious flaws. [ QUOTE ] Do you know enough about Kyoto to be sure that is not the case? [/ QUOTE ] Properly not enough no. But I do now that the US's unwillingness to discuss that a problem even exists is, shall we say, a little short-sighted. |
