Default Good play, or not?

SB is 50% VPIP over 40 hands, and ... well, in the blinds.

It seems I'm getting a LOT of practice lately with overcards that completely miss the flop.

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Flop: (5 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

Turn: (3.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: (3.50 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: 5.50 BB

I don't like raising pf here, I think I would fold this

Edit: sorry misread the turn play

I think if I don't bet the turn, I am folding on the river

Bet the turn.

I would fold the K on the river. I'd call an A.

Folding preflop = terrible.

I'm calling on the end all day long. You are the favorite over a random hand so I highly doubt that you are a 4.5:1 underdog when he bets in this spot.

is this line better than betting the turn for a free unimproved tabling?

Since SB called the flop I figured something must have hit. So I was playing off the weak 'OMG he's got a pair' that popped into my head.

Plus as connected as it was, I didn't think I'd fold a loosie with any kind of draw.

On the turn I would have bet if a Q or K dropped.

I think that this is close. There might not be an answer to your question "Good play or not". There are gray areas. The pot is not too big, so if folding is a mistake it is not a big one, but it certainly looks like a situation where someone is going to take a shot at you.

Not on this board. I dunno I like to mix it up between bet-checking and check-calling.
