PP - i wanna check your hole cards
General Party question... It seems like some players get hand histories immediately following the hand THAT shows your cards even if you don't have to show down a hand. Is that possible?
Thanks for any replies... it would sure help me see if I'm making good laydowns or to see what certain players are raising with etc. |

Re: PP - i wanna check your hole cards
Yes, I believe all hands called at the river are picked up in the hand history you get, even if they weren't actually "shown" at the table.

Re: PP - i wanna check your hole cards
the hand history is displayable by clicking on the "last hand" link in the top right hand corner of the window.
as stated by kiddj, the hole cards of any hands that called on the river, whether "shown" or not, would be listed in the hand history. |

Re: PP - i wanna check your hole cards
Yes, they have this feature, as others have explained. It's actually something that really annoys me, and keeps me from playing there on a regular basis; I do like seeing other people's moves, but I don't like them being able to see mine. One of the fundamental principles of poker, as I've learned them, is that nobody is entitled to information they didn't pay for (i.e., nobody who has folded should be able to demand to see a mucked hand). Some people believe the opposite is true, and/or that being able to do this prevents collusion, but it's rarely used for that purpose, and colluders are generally smart enough to make sure that one of them folds before the showdown anyway. Party can examine the hand histories themselves (including folded hands), and see if reported collusive behavior really is such; I don't see why the players should get this windfall.
IMHO, FWIW, YMMV, not valid where taxed, do not fold, spindle or mutilate, etc.... -Mike |

[/ QUOTE ] Hey Mike -- I understand your complaint, but this doesn't seem to follow. If the cards are in the histories, there was a showdown; therefore, someone "paid for it". At B&M casinos, if someone in a showdown demands to see mucked cards, they don't just show 'em to people in the showdown and hide them from the rest of the table...? Like I said, I can understand the rest of your complaint -- but I don't happen to agree. I think that the amount of information I'm receiving from seeing other peoples' losers is greater than the amount of information I'm giving up from them being able to see my losers, especially given that at PP 2/4 I'd imagine less than half of any given table knows to look. |

I agree, +EV.
It's also quite a bit of fun to embarass people lieing about their hands. Nothing better than being told your a suckout because you "busted my 2-pair" and then checking the hand history and seeing they had Ace high. |
