Default Raised when betting out TPTK

I feel like I've turned weak-tight recently, and I know I misplayed this hand somewhere. Please help!

The villan is a total fish - seeing half the flops and preflop raising only occastionally. He has an aggression factor of .82.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 3 folds, MP3 calls, CO calls, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (5 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG raises, MP3 calls, CO folds, SB folds, Hero calls.

>>I thought about reraising but I realized it probably wouldn't clear out the field anymore, and I'm giving him some credit since he hardly raises.

Turn: (5.50 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, MP3 folds, Hero calls.

>>Should I have bet out the turn?

River: (7.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls.

Final Pot: 9.50 BB

If your not going to three-bet the flop and respect his raise then you need to fold that turn unimproved as you are no longer getting the odds for your five outs.

Why? If you've got a 70% chance of being behind, it's worth calling down as cheaply as possible. Your 30% flop equity is enough to want to see a showdown cheaply.

I'm pulling numbers out of the air, but the point is calling down isn't necessarily wrong. Especially out of position.

That said, I think I 3-bet the flop. If he caps I'm not sure what to make out of it since he limped preflop. I think I call then, fold the turn UI.

If he just calls, I bet the turn and fold to a raise, If he just checks the turn, I bet the river too (being out of position sucks...)

Yeah, I definitely wish I 3-bet the flop. I think the hand would have played out cleaner if I had. The guy turned over QQ.

There's really no reason to bet the river here. Only better hands are calling.
