I would have just called the river bet. If the opponent is generally passive or weak-tight, I would have just called down from the turn.

I like the flop raise -- find out right here right now just how much MP1 likes his hand, and get everyone else out of the damn pot.

Once you turn a set, there is no escape. You are behind QQ, 8T and KT -- and even then, you have ten outs to fill up in two of the three instances. You will see a lower set, two pair, or donking much more often.

sorry jacks loose passive table flop raise had me fooled then obviously after all the reraising on turn i put him on k t for straight but way he played felt i still had to be so aggressive what do you think

I would expect to loose this hand when he bets out on the river. He could turn over a set of 9's but I think he has the straight. What could he possibly be betting so hard against you? I would just call his river bet and certainly not cap the river when 3-bet.

KT/8T spades are the only hands you need to worry about but i do slow down on the river.

That sucks. His leading the river says "That was fun, let's do that again." Just call the river.

If he checked the river, I would have bet, though, and called a raise.

That why it's fun to have position. You get to make decisions like this.
