Re: KK - in tonites 200K guaranteed
Bump. Any help?
Sure the pot odds are sweet, but (1) he was slow to call my pf raise - I figured this to mean small pair (thus making set very possible on this flop) and (2) without the A on the river, its a pot odds call -- but that A |

Re: KK - in tonites 200K guaranteed
The way I see it, there are 4 likely scenarios that produce this river bet:
1) UTG+1 has been calling down with 55 and just rivered a straight. 2) UTG+1 has an underpair and has correctly guessed that you have higher pockets under an A, and is therefore trying to push you off of them. 3) UTG+1 is holding AdXd & just rivered top pair, then correctly guessed that you have high pockets under an A & bet rather than risking a check thru. 4) UTG+1 flopped/turned a set & has been waiting for you to make a hand with your "AK" before playing back at you. Of course there's always the 5th option, that UTG+1 is just a dolt. But still....there aren't a whole lot of ways that you win this one, and 425 is a little more than half your remaining stack. Folding is probably the better move, but I don't fault you one bit for calling either. |
