Worst Bubble Call EVER?
I'm sure there have been worse, but thanks to this bad bubble call by a player - I was able to backdoor into the money.
21 Left - blinds are 300/600 I am in 18th Chip position with right around 6500 chips. Folded to me in the C/O. I open push for all my chips. Button Re-raises all in for about 14,000 (CRAP). SB Folds, BB with about 5000 AFTER posting, and me already being all in CALLS. I flip over 99 Button flips over KK BB flips over ATs No one improves on the flop and KK wins the hand. BB finishes 21st, and I backdoor into a 20th place CASH. Only 2x the buy in - but still, how do you call 2 all ins with AT when folding has a good shot of putting you in the money? |

Re: Worst Bubble Call EVER?
Don't rip on the players who make you money. Just type in, "Good game, man. Bad break on that great call you made. See you around, and take care."
I love players like this, and I compliment them as often as I can to keep them and their crappy play coming back for more. |

Oh- I didn't say anything to him at the table.
I gladly took his money- I just found it funny at how bad of a call it was. |

Re: Worst Bubble Call EVER?
I can see alot of situations where BB is 25%-33% to win the pot, and can make this loose call.
I'm not folding into the money in a small entry fee tournament. What is the value of having T17,700 after the hand (if you win)? His call was not too different from your push with 99 in early position when you have 10XBB left, ... on the bubble. You both want to get out of the toilet. |

[/ QUOTE ] This comment is wrong on many fronts. First off, I'm in the C/0 - I know we are 7 handed, but that's still not an EP. 2nd - there is a world of difference between first to push, and 3rd to call the original pusher. There are many times he won't even had 25% here, so I also think that's flawed thinking. What if I pushed with AQ here. and the button has KK. Now he is drawing really really thin,. |

Re: Worst Bubble Call EVER?
This happened to me in a $30 SNG just yesterday, but I thought it was pretty bad unless he had AA.
4 left, blinds 150/300, SB has 120 after posting, I'm UTG with 320 left. Folded to SB, who puts the rest in and loses to BB's two pair. I would have had 20 chips behind after posting the BB on the next hand. After that I actually go on to win it! |

Re: Worst Bubble Call EVER?
Yes, CO is late position, my mistake.
Looks like a steal from the CO to me. And could be a move to isolate from the button, I am shocked to see KK here, and think raising was a mistake. You could even see two under pairs. As it turned out BB was 1:3 in the hand and 2.4:1 in the pot. |

He got very lucky that his ace was live. He's on the bubble with a short stack about to get into the money. I think that this is about as easy as they come. Almost as easy as the push in the CO w/ 99. |

Re: Worst Bubble Call EVER?
I'm confused--you're saying you make this call, regardless of the buyin?
I'm no game theorist, but I suspect you would be in error, regardless of your rationalization. |
