Ring vs Tournament Variation?
Me and my friend are on a heated debate which has more variation, Cash games or Tournaments. We are referring to strictly on-line poker. So the question is, can anyone refer me to a solid stat, post, or have a legitmate reason to prove one has more variation than the other? I assume given how blinds increase so rapidly in tournaments, if you catch a cold run of cards you arent going to be able to get much return. Where as cash games, you can always bluff your way to a pot and play much more patiently thus making your bankroll suffer less variation along the way. I'm not 100% sure but my friend says he is. Is he right? Am i right why?

Re: Ring vs Tournament Variation?
Its important to consider a statisitcally signifant set. For SNGs that's 500+ tournaments. I'm guessing the equivalent for limit is 10K hands.

Re: Ring vs Tournament Variation?
Sit and go tournies have way less variance than ring games. But multi-table tournies have way more variance than ring games. So you need to clarify which you are referring to.
