Default Steal w/ trash as short stack

Do you guys do this? Or is this a case of misplaced agression?



Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (7 handed) converter

Hero (t625)

This is a pretty routine push. The only thing that might change that is if you think BB will call you with just about anything. Since he's going to be getting 2:1, he's probably going to call you with lots of stuff here. You probably have a little folding equity right now, you will have none after the next orbit, and there are too many people that still need to bust to make sitting and waiting for a hand attractive. I think this is worth a try.

I'd be even more inclined to push with twice as many chips; the FE is better and it's still only 6 BBs or so.

Exactly. You're pushing here because you have to. With more chips, you need it less, but you'll be more likely to be successful, so it balances out.

It would be interesting to graph the EV continuum...
