Spread limits for Hold\'em
Okay, I'll re-ask the question here since nobody really answered it in the beginner's forum. I notice that a few casinos have tables with spread limits. I only play online so I haven't been exposed to spread limits. How would a $1-3 spread limit work on each betting round? How would the spread limits affect your betting strategy?
Thanks for any replies. |

Re: Spread limits for Hold\'em
$1-3 spread.
Preflop: Bet $1 $2 or $3, Raises are $1 $2 or $3 (must at least match the original bet with a maximum $3 raise) Flop: Bet $1 $2 or $3, Raises are $1 $2 or $3 (must at least match the original bet with a maximum $3 raise) Turn: Bet $1 $2 or $3, Raises are $1 $2 or $3 (must at least match the original bet with a maximum $3 raise) River: Bet $1 $2 or $3, Raises are $1 $2 or $3 (must at least match the original bet with a maximum $3 raise) Example: Player A bets $2. Player B raises the min ($2) to $4. Player C raises the max ($3) to $7. Player D can raise $3, call or fold. Simple strategy: You can play more hands cheap or unraised (connectors, suited), and extract a lot of money by betting/raising the max when you hit a hand.
