When should i dump top pair?

Havent played enough with villain to give a read.

Table is particularly tight, usually 2 or 3 only in each pot.

This hand reeks of JJ,QQ,KK,AA, when should i have gotten away from it? I felt as if a check/fold on the river would be right but obviously didnt do it.

I generally play this the same, but given your comment that the table is generally tight I think you're screwed. Still, I don't see a place to get out and the pot is pretty big by the turn.
