Party new SSN requirement?
I received the following message when I was trying to cash out money from Party:
Your request exceeds our aggregate Cash Out limit of $10,000 per month or $3,000 per day. In order to comply with our obligations and policies in relation to money transfers we need some additional details from you before we can accept your cash out request. It's easy, and you'll only need to do it once. As soon as your details are confirmed, you'll automatically qualify for faster cash outs and higher deposit limits! We are committed to your privacy. The information you provide to us here is used for verification purposes only. Please enter your Social Security number in the field below and click "Submit". etc etc... I'm sure some/most of you have seen this already. The thing is, it's a new month, and I've yet to make any cashouts in May. Even if I try an amount lower than $3000, it still gives me the same message. Are they requiring everyone give their SSN now? I'd really prefer not to give out my SSN to Party, for obvious reasons. |

Re: Party new SSN requirement?
Call them up and talk to them. I wouldn't give out my ss# to anyone except when I do my taxes. Ask them why they need tour ss# in India? Someone is also complaining that Empire has requested the same-they are a skin site.

Re: Party new SSN requirement?
I assure you this is definitely IPO related; by far the biggest threat to Party's existence is US government interference. If the feds discover some terrorist/criminal dirtbag is making large cash transfers through any Party/skin (even if incidental), Party is going to have to log SSN's to respond to an inquiry, or else find themselves mired in a real $hitstorm.
It also protects them from gnomes, multiple accounts and such, but I don't think this is the underlying reason. |

Re: Party new SSN requirement?
If anything it's IRS related. No goverment agency has the unfettered power of the IRS.
IPO means SEC filings. SEC filings means $$ records. Money records means IRS. When in doubt follow the money. It always leads to the IRS. |

SSN are so useful for investigation/identification/security purposes that it is hardly surprising they would ask for them. They don't need any special reason for wanting them. |

Re: Party new SSN requirement?
yes, it's for identification purposes. if you'd rather not give them your SSN, just tell them you'll fax/email a copy of your ID and they will be fine with this. i just did it yesterday.
