Default Why is Pakistan a Bush country?

The Pakistani intelligence chief wired Atta 100k in the USA one week before 9-11. Their scientists sell nuclear technology to Iran and North Korea. Bush loves Musharif.

Why?

Musharif has been very helpfull since 9/11. I think the better question is why did Musharif do 180 degree shift after 9/11? I think a few hundred special forces taking down the Taliban by organizing a resistance movement had something to do with it.

Because the U.S. was not one to mess with after 9-11 and we beat the Taliban. Why ally with the losing side and put yourself on the U.S.'s hitlist?

This is another example of the "enemy of my enemy is my firend" policy that served us so well in supporting Latin American Dictatorships during the cold war. It is an alliance of convience as Pakistan borders Afganistan and could provide bases for our troops, interestingly enough Pakistan also borders Iran, hmm makes you wonder. . .

Besides Pakistan has a huge population and a decent nuclear arsenal. We would not be able to roll through them as we did in Afganistan so we are almost forced to be friends with them.

Wrong. Pakistani scientists have sold nuclear technology to Iran and Norht Korea after 9-11.

Your response is a clear example of the those that do not want to bring the 9-11 terrorists to justice. The trail leads directly to Musharif, and by association, George W.Bush.
