Default are you an unlucky person?

just a little poll to pass the time. would you say you are luckier or unlickier than the average person, in general life? obviously, poll results indicate that people THINK they are unluckier/luckier etc...if everyone here thinks that they are unlucky, then we all have a bleak outlook on life.

What about "there's no such thing as luck" option. Ya know, for those who wanna participate in your poll and be right.

I can't believe someone would post this poll on 2+2 and only have these options.

I wouldn't say there is no such thing as luck. However I think that everyone gets an equal amount of good and bad luck.

"Lucky" people put themselves in a position to take advantage of good luck.

"Unlucky" people are standing on the tracks when the train is barreling down on them.

So by that definition I am "unlucky" more than I am "lucky"

yeah, because poker players are 'logic geeks', but im really just talking about a general feel in everyday life. what does it 'feel' like, because we all know luck doesn't exist.

Not to say I put much stock in the concept of "luck", I would have to say that I am luckier than the average human currently alive. By chance I was born in a place that offers relatively easy survival. That has to put a mark in the lucky column.

From this perspective, all who post here are extraordinarily lucky. On average, we are very likely better off than 99.5% of humans ever born.

does being born in the 20th century make us luckier than those born 400 years ago who had to personally hunt down animals for survival?

does being born in the 20th century instead of the 32nd century make me unlucky? i will assume that life is much better in the future.

does being born with intelligence make you a lucky person? what about being born asian? what about being born in america?

i would say that ive been lucky to have had my sperm make it to the egg and been delivered without complications.

It has been shown that people who consider themselves lucky are actually just people who see opportunity and take it. People who sit around and do nothing consider themselves unlucky.
