KK on button
Dealt KcKd on button. Unsure of my play on this one. I think I played it right, but would appreciate any critiques.
5 call then 1 raises...I raise...BB calls and the rest call 8 are in Flop is 9c Jc 8s (31 SB) It gets capped to me and I call (I believed it was right to call because of the backdoor flush draw and although the straight was there I felt there was a minute chance my KK was still good). And if there is a lot of action on the turn even if I don't get my club I would fold for sure. Turn: 9c Jc 8s 7c (31 BB) The guy before me raises and I call...one of the earlier guy check raised and its capped to me again. Ok, I know at least 1 guy out there has a straight, but now I have the flush draw...would you call or fold? Results below: I called River: 9c Jc 8s 7c Ac (55 BB) It was beautiful. Even with the possible straight flush on the turn. Got my flush and I was able to cap it. 71.6 BB goes to me One guy that capped it the whole way had Ah Js Other guy that capped had Jd 10d (no surprise) Last one had Ks 10c |

Re: KK on button
This pot is gigantic. I definitely peel one off the flop, with the turn being another club, I don't fold.
EDIT: If you hadn't hit your flush on the river, I would fold to more than 1 bet. |

Re: KK on button
Of course you call, it's an elementary pot odds question. This wouldn't just be a cleverly disguised bragging post posing as a legitimate hand question would it...?

Re: KK on button
I'm not positive I understand whats going on here but it looks like it's 3 BB back to you and there's 31 BB in the pot. I think you have to call. If you don't catch a club on the river, fold.

Re: KK on button
When you build a pot preflop with a hand like AA/KK, you are going to show it down unless something really bad happens. High varience, but big rewards.

Call, if you don't make your flush, fold.

Re: KK on button
Without looking at the other posts, of course I'm not folding the turn. And you should've raised the turn, not called.

[/ QUOTE ] Bragging slightly (even if it is just $0.05/$0.10 on Pacific; $7.00), but the few times I get a hand like this that gets capped the whole way with so many people in it sometimes makes me second guess myself when all is said and done. Even if pot odds were on my side. |
