Re: 5/10 Hand
Turn call is pretty thin, but your K is probably good if not your ten. Id say your ten is good not toooo often, maybe worth about one out if he always bluffbets the river, and slightly less if he only bets his bigger hand on the river. Your king almost all the time, probably about 2.5 outs, and the jack of course is 4 outs. So you probably have about 7.5 outs with the pot laying you almost 6-1. Like I said thats very thin, but factor in the implied odds, as well as the image considerations of not folding to turn donkbets and I think you have a fairly easy call.
Once he checks river, river bet is automatic. Pf and flop are fine against this opponent. -Mike |

Re: 5/10 Hand
Stefan_K,
Against this sort of opponent, the turn donkbet usually means a weak hand hoping you have some kind of naked ace. I will very often raise the turn if I feel he is capable of folding 97 or A3. Otherwise, I think calling with 10 likely outs isn't terrible. ___1___ |

Re: 5/10 Hand
Postflop is good and straight-forward.
I don't like preflop. After only 80 hands he probably hasn't got more than 8 to 11 steal-opportunitys and the fact that he has taken the opportunity 7 times out of 11 doesn't really say that much about what kinds of quality he needs to steal. You will be behind against any pair, any ace, KQ and KJ. I don't think you have a good enough read on CO to 3-bet KTo in this spot. |

Re: 5/10 Hand
Postflop straightforward?
Villain is 46/20. Clearly he's very loose and very aggressive. You have position, you have dead money, you have superior postflop skills and you probably have the best hand. I'd definately 3-bet preflop. |

Re: 5/10 Hand
I mis-read the hand, I thought villain check-called all the way.
However, I like the call on the turn. If villain has anything he'll bet the river and if he doesn't he'll check and you can bet when you make a weak hand (like the pair of tens) |

Re: 5/10 Hand
This sounds like result oriented thinking to me. Do you often call turn bets with weak drawing hands, perhaps not quite with sufficient odds, because "villain will bet the river if he has anything and check otherwise, allowing me to value bet any weak hands I make on the river"?
And anyway, villain would probably/often bet the river if he didn't have anything in spots like these, anyway. That being said, I defintately like the turn call here too, but I like raising about as much and folding is not very farfetched. Straightforward is oversimplyfing things, I think. |

Re: 5/10 Hand
Like I said, i mis-read the post. I agree it is not straight-forward.
