Flopped middle pair?
Hi guys, long time lurker here, thought I'd finally post a hand today.
I was playing some live $4/$8 last night when I ran into this situation. I didn't really have any reads on anyone except the guy who was on the button, he was pretty aggressive, betting and raising a lot. I had 7-8 of spades in the big blind. Four players limped in, and the button raised. I called, and the limpers called as well. The flop is 10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I checked, and it was checked around to the button (preflop raiser) who bet. I raised, one of the limpers called, and the button called as well. Turn was the 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I bet, and everyone called. The river was a K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. What do I do here? Do I check and fold? Also, were the other streets played ok? Was the check-raise on the flop a little too much? I figured there was a good chance the button was just betting unimproved overcards and my hand could be best. |

I was playing some live $4/$8 last night when I ran into this situation. [/ QUOTE ] Where? (if you don't mind answering...) I like your line so far, I think I would bet and fold to a raise. Even in a pot this big, you won't see a river raise with a worse hand often enough in a Live 4/8 game to warrent a call. Also, when you showdown your hand to the passive fish you'll be certain to get some advertising value... |

Re: Flopped middle pair?
I like betting the river as well, if you get raised it'd be a reasonably easy fold. I'm a little worried about the guy in middle position who keeps calling you, he could easily have something like j-10, but I suppose more often than not he won't.

Re: Flopped middle pair?
I also like betting and folding to a raise. NH
