I wish I had the discipline you showed here. I think at a decent table, you played this in a way that saves you a lot of money. One of my biggest leaks in a situation like this is convincing myself that "he probably has JJ or TT or AKs ..."

If villain is halfway decent, his reraise preflop, and subsequent reraise all-in on the flop means KK or AA more often than not, so I think folding is good. If he is bluffing with a flush draw, or overplaying his own TT or JJ, then you'll end up getting all his money at some later hand when you've hit your set and he's overplaying like this.

Anybody with more experience disagree that this was a good fold?

Your line preflop is fine I think, but I would like to see a bit bigger bet on the flop, I am afraid just half a pot shows so much weakness that you might just get pushed of the best hand here, given the line you took I would still fold, but I wouldn't feel nearly as certain I was actually behind as if I had bet something like 45$ on the flop.

Well, after 32 years, someone has complimented me on my discipline. It had to happen eventually, I guess, so thanks!

The actual reason for my response it to point out I'm also behind to A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], so even if your AKs read is good, it had better be one of the other suits.
