Pineapple and Crazy pineapple

I dont seem to be able to found out what the difference is. Is craze pineapple just pineapple 8 and then pineapple is just high. Or is there something i have misunderstood.

The difference is when you discard your third hole card. In Pineapple, you discard before the flop. In Crazy Pineapple, you discard after the flop betting round. Crazy Pineapple can be played either high only or high low.
