KK 5-10 No-Limit
5-10 NL at the end of a very profitable session. I'm killing time waiting for a friend to finish up before I cash out.
Black KK UTG - raise to 70 - the standard table raise. Next player calls (pretty bad, has @500. Then, in late position, a tight, older player with around 2k reraises to 210. I put the late player on AA, KK, QQ or maybe JJ - these are really the only hands I've seen him reraise with, and I've been playing with him for around 8 hours now. I've been talking about leaving for the past 15 minutes. What's the move here? |

Re: KK 5-10 No-Limit
What is your stack size?
And have you really seen him raise a big UTG raise AND a call with QQ? I think I'd fold here. |

What is your stack size? [/ QUOTE ] Unless he has villian covered by so much that hero seems to be bullying other players with his stack, I don't think that's relative. [ QUOTE ] And have you really seen him raise a big UTG raise AND a call with QQ? I think I'd fold here. [/ QUOTE ] Hero said $70 was the standard raise. And obviously villian's raise would've been smaller if the second player didn't cold-call. I don't think villian necessarily has KK or better...I think there's a fair enough chance he's raising for information with QQ or even JJ. However, it would be hard to play this hand out-of-position, particularly if villian is good at reading other players' hands. |

Re: KK 5-10 No-Limit
Call. If flop has a A or K, C-R that biatch. If it doesn't, lead 3/4 pot. Re-assess...

[ QUOTE ] 5-10 NL at the end of a very profitable session. [/ QUOTE ] if this is ANY way affects your decision get up immediately. [/ QUOTE ] This response was actually what I wanted to discuss. It did affect my decision. After he made the raise, while I was waiting for the action to return to me, I told myself that I would call and see the flop. However, when it got to me, my brain farted and forced my mouth to say "I'm all in." (I did have him covered.) Bad player folded. Villian went into the tank for a while, literally 5 minutes or so (obviously, once he starts thinking, I'm begging for a call). He shows the two people sitting next to him and folds. Since I was leaving, I say, "Just so you can sleep better tonight," and show the kings. The people next to him go nuts, and tell me he had the two red kings. Sometimes the wrong play works out, since this is probably the only way I could have won the hand without an A on the flop. Anyway, I thought it was interesting. Thanks for the responses. |
