Default KQo on BB problems..

Hmm.. I wasn't very sure of this one. Any comments?
What about betting the turn, and folding to a raise? Instead of going to the check-call mode. I have the feeling that I call to many things to the showdown lately..

Button is 69/1.7/0.4 (60 hands)

Maybe some of the better players can find a fold in there, I can't.

I was going to recommend a flop 3-bet, but then I looked at Button's stats.

I don't want to bet-fold on the turn so much, because you might have a decent number of outs (you would versus K3 and J3s, for instance).

And then I don't really want to fold the river, since there is some small chance that your hand is best. Button's stats are only for 60 hands, after all, and also players with high VP$IPs sometimes have deceptively low aggression factors (since they so frequently catch some small piece of the flop).

Anyway, I doubt you won, but the hand looks fine to me.

i guess its just one of those situations where a hand like aj or kq make an expensive second best hand where your forced to pay off. id call down just like you.

I would be inclined to three-bet on the flop. The range of hands the button could have is pretty wide. I am not willing to give him credit for two pair or a set at this point. I realise that he is passive. But after only 60 hands, I am not ready to give up on TPGK for one raise. I think I three bet and call a cap. The reason I am three betting, is to try to get HU, I would like to make the CO fold middle pair or a gut shot. Also a secondary benefit is that I might get a little more information on the Buttons hand.

If he caps and I lead into him on the turn and he raises again, I think at that point I would give him credit for a hand. But I don't know that you could fold to a turn raise, because with his hand range it is pretty likely that he could have a hand like K3 or J3, in which case you woul have some outs to a split pot or a win.

I like how you played it. The button's VP$IP is high, so why not let him to continue to bet for you. His lack of an ag factor is kinda scary as he could be ahead with K3 here, but I'd be jsut as willing to bet that he has a worse kicker then you often enough to make the calldown correct.

a .4 aggression factor for someone who plays 70% of his hands isn't ridiculously low. There is no way I would fold that.

I would 3bet the flop, and call down if capped or bet into on turn.

Even if SB is somewhat passive (I'm no expert on PT stats, but can we really say that for sure?), I still think he will have a weaker king here often enough.

i'd consider 3 betting the flop. you have top pair and prob best kicker, and are probably ahead..but a lot of hands will want to stay in with str8 draws and pairs, Aj, QJ, QT, that kind of thing. Raise to reduce their odds to call..CO probably folds to 2 more.

I can't believe everyone is cool with the preflop call. I fold here preflop almost automatically. Therein lies your problem.
