Default 30K SS hands in PT... wtf?

I've got 30K small stakes hands in PT now (.5/1 thru 3/6, mostly 3/6), and I was perusing the data last night. I'd like to do some more in depth analysis of the data later, but I don't have it on the machine I'm on at the moment. However, I wanted to go ahead and bring one topic up while I'm thinking of it.

My starting hands with the biggest loss in BB/hand were, in this order:

ATo
76s
88

Hmmm. Well, I've fixed the 76s leak a while ago... I realized I was overplaying ATo not too long ago, although I didn't realize the magnitude of the error.

WTF is up with 88?

How do you guys tend to play 88 from various positions in small stakes? (Don't just quote SSHE, I want to know what YOU do and why.) How do you play it differently than, say, 99, or a smaller pair like 55? (99 is my 7th or 8th most winning hand, btw.) Should I just say screw it and play 88 like I play 33? What else might cause such a huge disparity between my results with 99 and 88? Perhaps a touch of insufficient sample size?

Ideas?

or perhaps a touch of overplaying. dunno. I would post an 88 hand or two that you found difficult, and see if you or us find any leaks.

The answer is obvious and it's in your title.

That's what I'm kind of assuming for the moment, as 88 (and 77, although not quite as much) were big losers for me, but the lower pairs were either very small winners or very small losers. But, it can't be right to completely puss out and play 88 only for set value like 22 or 33, right?

I'll dig thru my HH's and see if I can find anything interesting to post. I hadn't thought to post any yet as I hadn't realized until now that 88 was such a loser for me.

I'd still like a response here, though.

It really depends on the table, my position, etc. I sometimes raise with 88 and sometimes limp. I almost always check/fold if I don't flop a set, overpair, or open ended straight draw. I've found that calling down with small to medium pockets on overcard flops is just throwing money away.

Going "yay, a sooted connector!" and then playing it from EP in a retarded fashion.

Not believing people when I should have had a clue that they had made a higher flush didn't help either.
