Default J9 flops OESD on paired board

BB plays 45% of his hands and never raises pre-flop after >100 hands including AA, AKs, etc.

MP2 has played 55% of 40 hands and shown no aggression.

I know getting a free river card could be beneficial, but I think I would have just called MP2 on the flop. I like OESDs, but I prefer not to put a lot of bets in chasing a straight on a paired board with two to a suit (and none of mine).

I wouldn't be happy about BB's turn checkraise. Possibly he slowplayed trips on the flop, but I'm worried he has something better, such as AJ or even a flopped or turned boat.

I would call down, though. I would have played the turn and river like you did.

UTG open folds on the flop, is that right?

I would just call the flop hoping to keep BB in. If there were more players on the flop that already called a bet, I may raise the flop for a free card.

BB is very loose, and with his turn checkraise I’d at least credit him with Qx. But since he’s so loose, I think enough of time his x didn’t catch to boat up, so I’d 3-bet the turn and go from there since there is a third player still in.

If it gets, or was, HU against BB, I'd just call down.

I think this board is way to coordinated against you to be raising for attempted free cards here.
