neither.

it's absolutely necessary. no ifs ands or buts about it.

if you're still referencing one specific hand as an example of how your game goes up and down, you haven't played a lot of poker.

you don't know the first thing about bankroll requirements, or the long-term, or win rates, etc. Your game could be rock solid, but you gotta gain some perspective, or you're going to have a really rude wake-up call.

poker tracker is essential to start examining your own play. it sounds like right now might be a good time to install, take a look, and then compare. when you see your win rate is something over 10bb/100 hands you'll know you're due to come crashing back to earth. soon.

As someone who is skilled at reading people but not the greatest mathmatician, this program helps me immensely to better my game. Worth every penny.
