Blind resteal - better to wait until flop?
From last nights Party $100. Button has been very aggressive; although has generally been good at picking his spots. Before the action got to me; I had concluded that I would come over him if he tried to take my blind again.
Should I have waited for the flop before pushing? What factors go into your thinking as to whether pre- or post- flop is the right time to make a move? A related question -- we are about 1 hour into the tournament (just about to hit the 50/100 blind level); is it still too early for me to be playing this way to "send a message"? Re: Blind resteal - better to wait until flop?
you don't have that many chips, and you don't want to go to a flop with this hand. Resteal now. You have FE and KQ should do alright against most BS hands.

Re: Blind resteal - better to wait until flop?
yup. That's what I did. villan showed TT and I lost the race.
I dont regret the move at all -- just wonder if I could have gained fold equity pushing on the flop. A resteal-n-go. |

Re: Blind resteal - better to wait until flop?
interesting proposal. Does the SB have more FE going AI agaisnt a PFR PF, or AF (random, unknown flop). Very interesting. I'd love to hear thoughts on this.
