Re: Do you check fold the turn? I smell a slowplay.
You think villain has a spade or 6 here 80% of the time? And no, I don't check/fold this turn unless you have a better read.

[/ QUOTE ] I felt weak folding to such small bet but I believe a player this tight just wouldn't bet that river without a spade or a 6. Thanks for your opinion on the turn. He rivered quads for what it's worth. You call the river? |

I'd have to be there to really know for sure. But I think I call that most of the time unless it's a guy who NEVER bets unless he has a very strong hand. Tight preflop doesn't mean passive postflop, remember that.

Does clarkmeister's theorem work for no limit?
If so, bet the river, fold to a raise. |

Re: Do you check fold the turn? I smell a slowplay.
Dont bet the river here, as the only hands that can call you are better hands than yours (a spade, or a full house).
Check/folding is fine, check/calling is not unreasonable either. Its close I think. Betting the river is horrible though. |

Betting the river is horrible though. [/ QUOTE ] it's not necessarily horrible...will your opponent call with his 8 high flush when you could have been betting AQ with the Qs? EDIT: in this case, with the paired board and a rock, his call on the flop and turn mean that he has a good flush or a set (turned full house). my comment above is meant in a more general case where there's a 4-flush or flush on the board. go ahead and be the aggressor...people with baby flushes will fold since it's unlikely that anyone would bet that without a higher card of the suit. |
