Default Grand Island Chips

I was considering buying a set of these chips off of ebay, just wondering what you guys thought of these. Also what would your recommendations be for demonations for a set of 500 chips?

I have samples, and I feel the same way about them as I do about all other Blue Chips...eh...

If you are looking at spending that much on clay's take a look at the Ten's Paulson group buy http://tinyurl.com/6mu4p You can get much better quality in the same price range.

I've got some samples and I like them a whole lot better than other Blue Chips I've messed with.

But having said that, yeah, I'd go for the Egyptians instead.

The Blue Chip "shell" mold (actually "five flames" according to the owners, but everyone calls them shells) are decent clay chips. Maybe a little light, but they seem to wear well based on my samples.

This seller (David Fleming) seems to have lots of the Blue Chip sets, in several designs -- primarily Grand Island and Las Vegas Invitational.

As far as your choice of denominations, he seems to put together good sets for either Cash Games (low & medium denoms) or Tournaments (high denoms), so take your pick based on what you want to play. Good eBay feedback ratings, too.

Among his auctions, I've recently seen:

Tournament set - Grand Island

Cash game set - Grand Island
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=6165858502

Here are all his sets (and no, I don't know the guy and I'm not shilling for him, just giving a link for folks who may not be familiar with eBay searching)

I've bought quite a few remaindered Paulsons from David Flemming, and find him to be a reliable dealer.

2nd that! I recently had a shipment stolen that was sent by him. Make sure you require a signature if sending somewhere questionable. At first he didn't want to sell me replacements, but did cooperate and sold me some for the same price.

Actually, my 1st set of Grand Island samples never made it to me for some reason, and he sent out another set at no charge to me.
