More higher level thinking - putting in the 28th raise
This hand is in a lower stakes game, but the stacks were >100BB and there was some very high level thinking going on. Please read the hand history linked before continuing to the analysis.
Hand info OK. My main opponent here is popinjay, a smart solid player. When he puts in the 16th raise, I put him squarely on QQ or KK. Because of the lack of larger raising, I did not have him on AA. At this point, I felt that if I pushed he would call with KK, since I could have a wide range of hands. On the other hand, I felt the bad opponent in the middle was calling w/ a hand that I likely had dominated. So, here was my plan. I figured that after I put in the 25th raise, popin would know that I must have AA for sure. So, after that, I just went all-in on the 28th raise. I also did not want to do much more small raising, since he would then be pot-committed. I felt that the opponent in the middle who was very bad would call w/ a dominated hand. And I also thought that popin would make a good laydown w/ KK v. an obvious AA. Only a sucker would call the 28th raise, all-in, with KK. Anyway, as planned, the opponent called w/ J9, which I had dominated w/ my QJ. Popin, however, made a horrible call w/ his KK and ended up winning the hand. Thoughts?

i am concerned about the thirteenth raise. will need to do some sims on that. otherwise it looks good.

When you reraise all-on, Popin still has got to believe there's some probability you're still [censored] around. After all, if you had AA, why scare them out of the pot now? When I'm trying to induce a laydown, as a rule of thumb I try not to do it pre-flop to opponents who I put on KK. 2nd

The "whipsawing" was so ruthless I am amazed you were not reported for collusion!
Imagine, then you would not be allowed to play such lucrative games as .50/$1 NL and your source of livelihood would be endangered since you would need to move up to even higher stakes with stronger opponents. How then would you be able to keep yourself in wrestling masks?
