Isolating with 77
Villian played half his hands, seemed to raise preflop with most pocket pairs and suited paint. I figured my 77 to be a favorite against anything he would only limp with. Postflop, villian liked to play raise-or-fold.
Party .50/1 I'm in late middle with 77. Folded to villian who limps, and I raise. Everyone else gets out of the way. Flop is a Q T 3 rainbow. Check, I bet, call. Turn is a 9, putting two clubs on the board. Check, I bet, villian raises... Hm. So what now... and was this just a bad idea to begin with? (Sorry for not using the converter. I'm trying the 'write-it-out-myself' thing). |

Re: Isolating with 77
I don't think that sort of play should be done with 77. With J's, T's definitely, maybe even 9's, but save that isolation play for shorthanded games.

Re: Isolating with 77
Isolating here is fine, especially if he plays like your reads say. I think that you can fold safely to the turn c/r.

Re: Isolating with 77
fold to the check raise and then pat yourself on the back for a nice hand.
