Default Giving mtt\'s a serious go!!!!

I've decided to start giving the mtt's a serious go as at the moment i only play them now and again when i fancy a change from 50nl ring games and $20sng's.

What level should i start at the $5? or higher, what sites are the best i imagine party and stars would be best.

What i'm looking for more is a place where i can learn the different styles of play involved in mtt's making money for the moment is only really a secondary factor. Would the $5's be a real example of an mtt or are they just full of fish who play anything.

Also would it be better for me to start of in small tourney's like 100-2090 people rather ones with 600+

cheers guys

Play what ever your bankroll can handle.

MTT's at Party and Stars usually get fairly large, but larger at Party than Stars.

Good smaller places that I play are UB, Empire, and Paradise (if you can deal with the quick structure at Paradise)

I wanna start playing more MTT's too. I think i don't suck at them, but i haven't played enough too say anything statistically significant about it so...

Where can i start reading about MTT strategy? Any resources would be welcome. Yes, i'm ordering the books soon, but i have decided i will not invest any of my own money into playing poker, so i'm waiting til my bankroll can spare the money to buy the books...

So, is there maybe a "best of"-thread in this forum or an FAQ or something??? Any help would be appreciated

Pokerroom has some really good $5 tournies. It's where I learned and the fields are smaller (~200ish) so it's not as crazy as Party.

Blinds move fast though.

I agree. I was just wondering if there was any kind of overview of valuable posts or something like that. I'm most of all looking for general strategy, and less hand reviews and the likes...
