Default Bet the flop, or go for the checkraise?

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, 2 folds, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (5 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players)

So do you bet the flop or go for the chkraise here?

Easy bet...like pkai said, lots of draws, and there wasn't any raises preflop, so it's more than likely this won't get too much action....

Let's say you've been at the table for 4 orbits and a flop has never been checked around as someone will almost always bet the flop. Does that change how you play this?

Not in the least. On a passive table you are looking not to give free cards. On an aggressive table you are looking to bet out and 3bet someone with 2 spades or a straight draw looking for a free card.

I agree with the advice of others. Bet out on any kind of table.
