I have that video tape, it's only about an hour long and it is not very interesting as far as observing hands. (Thank goodness for "hole-cams"). But, I do have to say it is interesting to see from a historical perspective. A lot of the same "hype" as now and a lot of strange looking characters too!

I've seen pictures of Stu from the 90's, but seeing him play in 1981 I can easily see why he was called "The Kid" - he didn't look old enough to be flipping burgers at McDonald's!

The Poker Channel in the UK often plays the 1997 WSOP Final that Stu won. I've watched 3 or 4 times already. I find him fasinating to watch play, even without hole cams.

He's interviewed by Gabe Kaplan at a break for a few minutes and also at the end when he wins. All he wanted to talk about at the final interview was his love for his daughter and how he won it for her.

I have the DVD set of every WSOP final table that was put on television. The 1981 and 1997 stu ungar victories are interesting, but not great for breaking down hands, and strategic plays. But the 1997 versionn is simply a classic. To watch stuey come back and mutilate this table was great to watch. And you have to see his Q10 straight draw bluff...classic Ungar, playing at his best, in the last WSOP he plays in before his death
you gotta see the 97 tape if u havent yet

Anybody knows what his daughter is doing today? She is 21-22 years or something I think.

If I'm not mistaken, she's currently finishing a book about the life of her father.

Cool. I hope it will be good. I will surely buy Nolan Dallas book when it's available (which is rather soon).
