Default Top 2 pair - no action

Happened to me twice in 3 hands.
I flopped top 2 pair and got no action.

This is the second one

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) converter

UTG ($22.15)
UTG+1 ($48.6)
UTG+2 ($26.75)
MP1 ($20.55)
MP2 ($32.45)
MP3 ($25)
Hero ($25.8)
Button ($27.45)
SB ($31.9)
BB ($24)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.1.
<font color="#666666">6 folds</font>, Hero calls $0.25, Button calls $0.25, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($1) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $1</font>, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds.

Final Pot: $2

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
No showdown. Hero wins $2. </font>

Would a check-raise be better?
what about the danger of a free card?

Raise PF.

True.
Never quite sure when to raise pre-flop with AQo.

Previous hand was ATo - same thing happened.

oh wow that's a raise pre-flop.

i'd be raising AT, QJ, all sorts of much worse hands.

I know.

That is one of the weakest parts of my game - knowing when to raise in CO.
When NOT to raise is one hell of a lot easier than when YES to raise.
