Happened to me twice in 3 hands.
I flopped top 2 pair and got no action.

This is the second one

6 folds, Hero calls $0.25, Button calls $0.25, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($1) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $1, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds.

Final Pot: $2

Results in white below: 
No showdown. Hero wins $2. 

Would a check-raise be better?
what about the danger of a free card?

True.
Never quite sure when to raise pre-flop with AQo.

Previous hand was ATo - same thing happened.

oh wow that's a raise pre-flop.

i'd be raising AT, QJ, all sorts of much worse hands.

I know.

That is one of the weakest parts of my game - knowing when to raise in CO.
When NOT to raise is one hell of a lot easier than when YES to raise.
