Default Scare Card with a Small Pot - Fold or Call?

.50/$1 at Paradise...not too tight and not too loose

I'm big blind with Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
MP1 calls, MP2 calls, folded to me and I call (3.5 small bets)

Flop is Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
I bet, MP1 and MP2 call (6.5 small bets)

Turn: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
I bet, MP1 and MP2 call (6.25 big bets)

River: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
I check, MP1 checks, MP2 bets

What do I do here?

Thanks all!

Fold. Too many ways to lose and not enough in the pot to make taking the chance worthwhile.

fold big time. Way too many ways to lose and since you wont close out the betting it would be very bad to call and watch mp1 raise. Not worth it

I think this is standard Clark's theorum. When out of position, with four to a flush on the board, you bet. If it comes back to you raised, fold.

After checking the river I would fold here. I might bet out at this pot. No one has shown aggression and you could get a small diamond to fold. I see it time and again no flush on a 4-suited board. Bet it out and watch them fold.

Betting out isn't bad, but still second to check-fold with the small pot IMHO. Clark's Theory is HU. More potential callers makes betting out a riskier move.

Would it be too weak to check the turn?

checking the turn would be terrible.
no one has shown any aggression, the last thing you want to do is give a free card to someone sitting on a high diamond.

Any high diamond is already getting the correct odds to call a turn bet(4.75:1). You can't protect your hand from a high diamond.

oops misread the pot thought there was 6.25BB in after the flop. Yeah checking is bad.

Even if the lone high diamond has correct odds to call, you make money from the turn bet. There are 9 diamonds left out of 44 cards 'unknown' (4 on the board, your two, his diamond and a non-diamond) , so 80% of the time you pick up his BB anyway. Having another caller come along just sweetens the bet.
