Default Finding out whether ahead/behind

My old line would have been get to showdown. However, in both these hands the villains are TAGs. Although this won't be my standard line, I think it has its place. What do you think?

i would have checkraised the flop in hand 1, but after you bet and are raised, and bet and are raised on the turn, i dont think i like the laydown. the players at PP15 are aggressive enough to make this play with weak hands planning to check the river. calling down is better.

Hand #1 you need to raise pre-flop.
Given your line though, I'd check-call the turn and either check-call river or bet-fold river.

Hand, I'm not sure, it's probably an ok fold against a very solid player although I'm not sure exactly want to put him on. 33 is unlikely for a good player in aggro game UTG. Most solids would also raise TT pre-flop. 77 wouldn't call the flop. The only hand I really see him having that you beat is ATs. Of course, if he's aggressive enough, would he make this play with something like JT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] or T9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]?

I actually prefer calling down on the turn here against an TAG. If he has a weak ace he might be looking to fold for a raise.
