The villain in this hand has only played about 15 hands, and to be honest, I don't have much of a read on him at all.
After thinking about it, I think I prefer a reraise on the flop. Otherwise, how do you play this? "After thinking about it, I think I prefer a reraise on the flop."
Is this because you are hungry to win more bets, or because you're looking to lay this hand down at some point? |

A very good player can get away from this as you are probably behind most of the time unless he's extremely aggressive with AJ. That said, your play is far from terrible, i cant think think of a line that is considerably betten than yours.

Unless I have a beyond incredible read on the guy, I am not getting away from this hand, period. I would three bet the flop and bet out the turn....because I think there is an excellent chance he is checking behind.

[/ QUOTE ] This is a really good question, and probably the best way to determine the right line here.....unforunately, I'm not sure what I thought. I guess I wasn't entirely convinced that he wasn't drawing...Considering the fact that the nut flush draw will often raise in the Party 15/30 game, I usually like to reraise. Therefore, I guess I re-raise thinking that I have the best hand, and want to extract more bets. But if that is my thought process, does that mean I have to fold when the spade hits the turn? Again, I'm still not totally convinced...Won't I still be good at least 25 - 30% of the time (I haven't done the math on the odds, but that's got to be good to see another card....yes?) |

No good player lays QQ down in this spot to someone they have only seen 15 hands from. Let alone if that player is in a Party 15 game.
