Default Zero to Lose

You have zero to lose by posting your best thinking on 2+2. I'm willing to bet that some of the most prolific and expert poker-playing posters are willing say that they gain much much more than they "give away".

Much of this knowledge-equity comes from the process of clearly articulating complex subject matter in writing.

The rest comes from some of the truly amazing responses of others, whose sub-posts often display very deep insight into the original idea posted.

This post from Gigabit and this post from Rushmore come to mind as immediate examples of extremely keen insights that come from direct experience and are posted.

Some of the posts cannot be recognized as great until you have logged a certain amount of experience yourself, invested a certain amount of effort, etc..

And then, some of these posts really hit you, like the flop that hits you perfect.

2+2=5, at a minimum.

I forget who said it but I'm paraphrasing it here:

"If two people met and exchanged a dollar bill, each one walks away with a dollar bill. If two people exchanged one idea, each walks away with two ideas."

2+2 has at least 20k users.

Or, to paraphrase a story I heard on a very good British TV drama:

Two guys are walking along. They encounter a pond full of frogs. Joe bets Sam $20 that he won't eat a frog. Sam picks up a frog and manages to choke it down. Joe pays off. Sam offers the same bet to Joe. Joe manages to eat a frog, too. They continue walking.

A few paces later, Joe asks Sam, "Now why did we eat those frogs again?"

Even your not-best thinking will have some validity to it. It may expose a leak or someone may respond in a way that it truly Earth shattering.

Everyone has something to add; we'd like to hear from all of you.
