QQ preflop decisions (6 handed, 100 NL)
Party 100 NL 6 handed
Hero: $190 DangerMan: $125 ShortStack: $20 Hero is on the button with QQ, it's currently 5 handed. 1 limp, then ShortStack in the CO goes all in for $20. Hero makes it $60 to go. DangerMan in the BB goes all in for $125. No reason to think this isn't AA or KK (DangerMan isn't an obvious nutter), although AKs is possible. Pot is $205, its $65 to call for Hero. Play or fold? Also, better moves possible after the first $20 all in? Thanks. |

Re: QQ preflop decisions (6 handed, 100 NL)
I'd just min-raise here, though that may not be the best play.
Given the way you played it. $205 in pot and $65 to me? Opens up pokerstove. Using just AA, KK, AK, and AKs as the possible holdings for your opponent, it's a call witht the price you are getting. Personally, I imagine his range is a tad bit broader than this. |

Re: QQ preflop decisions (6 handed, 100 NL)
65 more into a 205 pot when 5 handed with QQ, i'll take my chances. pot odds are compensating you enough to the point where its worth defending your money.
preflop, i would just have called the all in. i understand you wanted to reraise to isolate, but the 20$ should be enough to isolate everybody else. the 20$ preflop bet is enough where nobody is calling that after you called it first. they'll only move in over both of you or fold, assuming they are sane. |
