Default Was this AKo play correct?

Hi,

I'm trying to be more aggressive and played the hand below. From small blind I raised with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I totally missed. On the flop I bet and then called a raise. Yet again I missed. I therefore folded.

Did I play correctly?

Thanks,

Asdasd

IMO, the play was fine.
Use the convertor, as it's very difficult to understand otherwise
Player names shouldn't be used either.

betting into a field of 5 with only overcards and a backdoor broadway draw is a bit aggressive.

It's difficult to tell without the converter but with one big bet to you on the turn (closing the action) and two overcards plus a gutshot you were probably getting odds to call.

Erring to the side of caution, even if we only assign each over as 1 out and the gutshot as 3 (due to the potential flush draw), that's 5 outs. You'd need about 1 to 8 to call. Looks life you're getting around 1 to 10.

Betting into a field that big on the flop can sometimes be hazardous, but it really depends on the particular table. The board is about as tame as can be; I don't have a big problem betting.
