Default indecision leads to trouble?

88 in the CO.

party NL50.

5 to the flop, limped in.

flop is 6 8 K rainbow. ($4.8)

checked to hero.

Hero bets $4.

fold to BB who calls.

turn is 5, making 2 clubs.

villain leads for 1/3 pot. Hero calls?

(I was thinking either he is on draw or he is underbetting his OESD that he hit on the turn).

river : 7C completing 3 flush and board of 5678K.

villain bets $4. Hero calls.

Is this full ring or 6m? (Don't you play 6m?) In any case, I agree with Berge that I would raise the turn. If he comes over the top, fine I'll fold. But when people make these small bets, I am almost always raising them no matter what I have and I am normally happy that I did. If he calls, check behind on the river.

Edit: Also, was the K a club? If not, and he has the straight on the turn, he should be worried about you have TP+flush draw and should bet more than 1/3 the pot for sure. If anything, I would put him on the flush draw (possibly + pair) and raise the turn. The beautiful thing is that people will call a raise with the draw on the turn and then try to check/raise the river. So you check behind. That way you make the most and lose the least.

its 6 max.

if he calls and bets a blocking/value bet , say 1/3 pot on the river, I have to fold right?

I don't think so. Doesn't his hand range include 2 pair? (Possibly turned) Smaller set? (Possibly turned) TP? I would think so . . .

right so at the time I figured I would play a small pot if I don't fill up and get him if I fill up.

I think sometimes I have the problem of not wanting to put my money in with the near nuts.

working alot.

and during the nights I play and after a session, I don't have it in me to post.

I've stopped posting during work therefore the sharp decline in posts. ITs not that I'm in trouble but I feel if somebody is going to pay me to do work, I should probably do it.

Damn you, I'm at work now. (Sitting right next to my boss.) And my productivity is definitely not what it could be. (See post count and registration date. )
