saabpo: Bot or Joke?

Well, it's been the talk of this morning in the SNG forum, and I don't believe I've ever been more than 50% sure that something is a bot on Party before.

Search saabpo, watch him play and see if he breaks these rules.

Fold/Push preflop
Check postflop (We've seen river trips checked when last to speak, we haven't seen him bet yet but maybe he bets the nuts)

If it's a bot, it's likely a winner.

Hopefully I have at least enough credibility that you'll give me the benefit of the doubt and watch a few hands before telling me it's impossible.

I'm also suspicious of Ljojo NL25 6max. I have about a zillion hands on it just from a few days of PT. Get this: 25/3 with a total AF of .4 .... very bottish if you ask me. Not a very good 6 max bot, but a bot nonetheless.

I think its a human with strict rules (trying to use Sklanskys system).

I watched a SNG he played in. Folded every hand (seems he did not catch any hand that fit the all in requirements). But it came apparent that he would get into trouble a lot on the bubble, if the bot/human rules did not change to adjust to bubble play.

He ended up all in with a stack of 390 when blinds were 50/100 just before a blind increse. He had J7 and lost.

Watched him/her/it play a couple and I think it's a human following strict rules.

I think its beem recently upgraded since I've also seen it bet allin on the flop after checking in the BB.

What I think is funny is that if such a simple style of play can win at this level then a lot of players either really suck or over think the game.

Should the STT forum be scrapped and replaced with a one page set of rules instead? [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Whether it be a bot or no, I don't want to sit at one of it's tables because it looks like 9 out of the 9 players against it are 2+2ers.

Everyone should come and check out this guy/thing just for all the 2+2ers in the chatbox, its hilarious. And for the love of all thats good don't mention 2+2.

I'm 90% sure it is a bot. It takes almost the exact same time for it's decisions (same for folding, and slightly longer for pushing). It never makes postflop plays. It has been playing 1 tournament at a time constantly for quite a while now. It also IMMEDIATELY registers for a new tournament after it completes its current tournament.

I don't think a human could possibly do all of these things.
