Re: Flopped top two on one tone board.
My gut feeling is that he raised in order to get a free card on the turn should he miss his flush. Which he did.
When he calls your river bet it confuses me pretty bad. Did he have A9? |

I think you have hero and villian confused?

Re: Flopped top two on one tone board.
Does anyone just call here and see what opponent does on a club/non club turn?

Re: Flopped top two on one tone board.
No, he either has a club draw that you want him to pay for, a made flush that you want to figure out if he has, or he is afraid of a flush and is not putting much more in anyway.
Raise 'er up! |

Re: Flopped top two on one tone board.
On the flop, you raised with your 2-pair. Question is, what did you put villain on after your raise? I think you put him on something like AQ, AT, or semibluff with K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]X, otherwise you would have folded. I think that if this was your read, you should have bet $50 at the turn. If you are called, then most likely you will showdown for free.
By checking the turn, you are showing weakness, possibly causing villain to put you on a semibluff flush draw. What would you have done if villain had bet $100 on the river instead of $50? |

Re: Flopped top two on one tone board.
Looks like he has the K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. You're actually giving him odds sort of with your re-raise, becuase its $30 to him in a $50 pot.
Unless vilian is pretty tricky, this looks like a classic missed draw bluff. |
